The main findings are methodological: combining SFC dynamic modelling with IO analysis is feasible and helps overcome the main shortcomings of the two tools when used individually – namely, the neglect of structural interdependencies and the absence of dynamics, respectively. This makes IO-SFC models particularly well suited for analysing interactions between the economy, society, and the ecosystem, as well as for designing and comparing alternative policy scenarios.
